Grade 10 is a part of secondary school and in some parts of the USA it is the first year of high school. The English equivalent is Year 11. Usually, this is when children would leave compulsory education. High school is often used instead of senior high school and distinguished from junior high school.

Twelfth grade, 12th grade, senior year, or grade 12 is the final year of secondary school in most of North America. In other regions, it may also be referred to as class 12 or Year 13. In most countries, students are usually between the ages of 17 and 18 years old.
Some high schools are offering what is now referred to as 13th Grade. This extra year of high school is integrated with college. Essentially the high schoolers enrolled in this type of school take college courses throughout high school and with their 5th years they take all college courses.

Seventh grade (or grade seven), equivalent to Year 8 in England and Wales, and S2 in Scotland, is a year or level of education in many nations around the world. The seventh grade is the eighth school year, the second or third year of middle school, and the first year of junior high school.
Is grade 3 a pass? For a 'standard pass', equivalent to the old C grade, students will need to achieve a 4 grade, while a 5 will constitute a 'strong pass'. Overall grades 4,5 and 6 will be equivalent to grades B and C in the old grading system.

In the United States 10 grade is called sophomore year of high school. It is the second year of high school after 9 grade or freshman year. Junior year is 11 grade and senior year is 12 grade. I put together a table below that organizes high school grades by their alternate names.
The core age range for Juniors is from 8 to 11 years, usually starting in the school year following their 8th birthday.
The 10th grade is the second year of a student's high school period (usually aged 15–16) and is referred to as sophomore year, so in a four year course the stages are freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.
"It comes from the Greek word 'sophos,' meaning clever or wise," said Sokolowski. "And the word 'moros,' meaning foolish. And so sophy moore — or sophomore — means 'a wise fool.”"
The US system is typically divided into three levels or schools: elementary (Grades K–5), middle (Grades 6–8) and high (Grades 9–12). Some districts vary this, occasionally including Grade 6 in the elementary level and offering a junior high school for Grade 7 and Grade 8, for example.
Ninth grade is often the first school year of high school in the United States, or the last year of middle/junior high school. In some countries, Grade 9 is the second year of high school. Students are usually 14–15 years old. In the United States, it is often called the freshman year.
