When you open the Mail app on your iPhone, tap Mailboxes in the top left corner of the screen to view all of your mailboxes, then tap on the Archive mailbox to view all of your archived emails. You could also try viewing that email account in a web browser to see if you can locate the archived email there.
Go to the account folder for the desired email account and there should be an archived folder. Note the account folders are on the bottom of the left side panel (gmail, iCloud, yahoo, etc).
The Gmail app for Android gives its users two choices for discarding a new message: archive or delete. The Archive action removes the message from view in the inbox and puts it in the All Mail area, in case you ever need it again. You can find archived messages by using Gmail's search function.
There are three ways to do this. The first is to tick the check box of the message you want to archive. A row of icons will then appear at the top row of your inbox—click on the Archive icon, and Gmail will send the message to the "All Mail" folder. The second option is to open the email in question.
You need to go to the settings for gmail on mail.google.com and go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab. Then you need to turn Auto-Expunge OFF.
Email archiving allows you to keep a record of everything sent and received, ensuring that you always have a copy of your messages and any documents attached. By archiving your important data and documents, they're stored safely in a separate folder—meaning there's less chance you'll delete or lose them.
Depending on what backup solutions you already have in place, email archiving can speed up the process whenever your data needs to be restored. This is because the archived data takes up less space. In addition, restoring non-archived emails becomes faster and easier, because the mail server's data load is lessened.
The Archive folder is no different than any other folder that you might create and has no abilities beyond any other folder. So, the answer is that your messages will stay in the Archive folder just as long as they'd stay in the Inbox folder; that is, they'll be there until you move them elsewhere or delete them.
Archiving an email moves it from your inbox into a designated folder created by your email client, where it's easily accessible but out of sight. The feature helps you save the messages you might need without choosing between trashing them or a clogged inbox.
If you often find yourself needing to retrieve information from old emails, you might find the archiving option useful. On the other hand, if you're constantly struggling with your available amount of storage space, then maybe the deletion option is best for you.
